Trachea
The windpipe, held open by C-shaped rings of cartilage.
Right superior lobe
The upper of the right lung's three lobes.
Right middle lobe
A small lobe found only on the right side.
Left superior lobe
Notched to leave room for the heart.
Left inferior lobe
Rests on the diaphragm, which drives breathing.
Main bronchi
The trachea divides into two main bronchi, one entering each lung.
